About the Job
The Group Leader/Therapeutic Support Specialist plans and facilitates groups or individual sessions with children, adolescents, or young adults, ages 5-22 that focus on social and emotional skill building, community integration, and educational and vocational preparation.
1. Provide Therapeutic Support Services or group interventions to youth and families within the community.
2. Provide strength-based and resiliency building activity that support: social/recreational development, social skills, personal boundaries, stress management/relaxation/mindfulness, daily living skills, secondary education and pre-vocational and career planning, and more.
3. Collaborate on goal development, crisis planning, and problem-solving in partnership with youth, parent/caregiver, and other support persons as needed. Collaborate with family, treatment providers, school, and other service providers to ensure continuity of care.
4. Complete timely and accurate documentation to reflect services provided. Support implementation of clinician's treatment plan.
30 hours. Saturdays required.
